We could say that Robert Venturi is a disciple of Mies van der Rohe and Louis Khan, since I work in the early 50 in the study of the latter together with Eero Saarinen. The architectural legacy of lies Venturi tests theoretical architecture as the letter written in 1966 "Complexity and Contradiction in Architecture" positioning itself against modern architecture, he saw as an architecture that context scampered looking differentiated. Venturi explains the history of architecture through concepts, not dates.

Robert Venturi received the Pritzker prize 1991 by "trace his built works, his writings and theories and teachings "and that their understanding of the urban context of architecture has resulted in changing the course of modern architecture.

His architectural work is single image with a very plastic look that evokes both the composition paintings facade as the use of color contrasting with the functional architecture of the period. Venturi refused modernism, betting rethink human needs and start from scratch.
