Architecture – Mama Jane’s Project
Architecture project at an orphanage - school on the island of Rusinga (Kenya). It is an architectural project in development with the collaboration of various organizations.
This is an explanatory panel project guidelines in the absence of knowing the exact topography and use of materials. The general concepts of architecture are:
1-Flexibility on budget growth-needs: The cover assembly and platform is the unifying element of the project that can grow to occupy the space that houses the element.
2-Division program 3: (Amarillo_aulas, Common Azul_zonas, Rojo_dormitorios) The strip of common services acts as a filter between classrooms and dormitories.
3-The living areas are separated from the soil and cover: To improve the thermal insulation of the occupiable volumes, separate cover and soil through the stage.
4-Cover used to capture and reuse rainwater.
